Ive had the new/used trans 2 weeks now its running fine but 1st gear slips a bit on initial start off. The tech who installed it says nothing can be done its an as is trans. I guess Ill have to live with it

If you or the tech picked it up from a salvage yard they usually give you at least a 30 day return warranty. A slipping 1st gear is a sign the trans is either low on trans fluid or starting to fail.
