Trying to keep up
Got meself an IS250 (2008) last year and been trying to do preventative maintenance on it to try and keep her at her best performance. Feel like I’ve done a good job so far until today haha idk if I messed up or if it’s normal? Any who I attempted a coolant change yesterday on my car, burped (bled w/e) the system, but now my radiator fan doesn’t seem to turn on? Coolant I’m using is the Peak Asian Vehicles pink/red
Quick run through of what I did:
1. Drained radiator from the bottom
2. Used some distilled water to try and get whatever was left over
3. Jacked up the car and then added the coolant (reservoir is already taken care of)
4. Took off rad cap and adjusted the heater settings before starting the car
5. let the car run, do it’s thing, filling up when needed
6. No more air bubbles, already squeezed hoses (took about 20-25minutes)
the gauge stays in the middle, reservoir seems to always remain half ways but the radiator fan has yet to turn on? Don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing haha also now when I turn off the car sometimes I can hear the coolant going from the driver to the passenger side? Greatly appreciate the time and input guys. Lastly, would the water pump and thermostat replacement be a tough job to tackle? Will be doing an actual radiator flush at that point

how long did you wait for the fan to turn on? depending on ambient temp (if it's cold out), it can take upwards to 20-30mins before that fan kicks on from cold.
drive around for 15-30 mins then let it sit at idle. the fan should kick on within 5 mins or so.
