Hi Guys.

I'm a new Lexus IS350 2008 RWD owner. Bought the car with a busted front bumper cover. I ordered a new one and took it to the body shop. The body shop painted it and the bumper cover fits on the car but the factory grille and the lower grille don't fit. The fog light covers don't fit and I imagine maybe the fog lights don't fit. Here are pics. Please look at the sticker. It says w/o collision and w/o HL. What is H/L? Halogens? Can anyone explain why this bumper cover won't fit? I can't find different fitting grilles or fog light covers. The company won't take the bumper cover back as it's been painted. The body shop guy had to be paid because he painted it. It's stuck outside the body shop so I need help asap. Thank you!

Is it an aftermarket bumper, like from eBay? If it is, you will have to have it modified by the body shop. I've never bought an aftermarket bumper that fits without modifying it. You should have test fitted it first before painting. I had this issue last year with my 2018 Civic Si. The seller guaranteed it fit, but than when it had gaps in it he told me "a decent body shop can modify it". Since I didn't paint it yet I forced him to take it back (thank you eBay support)

 

Your car is a 2008, which means you need a 06-08 bumper. The one you got is an 09-10. It'll fit, but you'd need the 09-10 grille+foglights. 11-13 are a different one also.

 

OMG Thank You for the help! I didn't know there was a difference between 06-08 and 09-10. MUCH MUCH MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!

 

I should have read the label before answering LOL! I still stand by "you should have test fitted it" before painting statement. At least you have options

 

Or you could get a 09-10 grill and fogs. May be cheaper and easier.
