Headlight Wiring Problem.
My passenger headlight unit stopped working alongside my fog lights. At the same time the passenger turn signals stay solid. I’ve checked all possible fuses related to headlights, signals, lamps etc along with all other fuses in the A and B fuse box, kick/ ebrake fuse box and passenger fuse box using a multimeter. All fuses were good. I plugged in my passenger headlight unit into the driver side unit to check if the unit is faulty but everything works. Low beam, high beam, DRL, and signals work. It seems that the passenger headlight wiring isn’t getting power into the headlight unit. Has anyone else had this problem before? Should I check for anything else as well? Let me know please !
The turn indicator being ON, implies that bulb is being used for a ground. In short; that side of the vehicle lost its ground.
Do a search; this has been covered before. IIRC the (but could be mistaken), it's a black wire the literally comes from the housing and bolts to the chassis with a group of other wires needing ground. When you find a spider of wires connected to the body, follow it back to head light.
You have an ohm meter? If yes, pop the cover on the high beam bulb and see if it has ground.
** Mind you; if HID equipped AND it lost its ground, it can absolutely shock the ever loving crap out of you so be be careful futzing with this with the lights on! As in DON'T!!!
>> Pull the fuse for the HID unit on that side!!!
