So as I was changing my spark plugs today on my 2011 is250 a plug ( or assuming sensor) wires came loose, now I need to see what’s the best way to fix it, it’s attached to a very large harness, so I’m not sure what to do, I can maybe sold it back to get her, but I need a picture if someone can help of how the wires should go back ( like a color coded order) if anyone can take a pic and help, it would be greatly appreciated!!
I have attached pictures of where the plug is, which is under a harness, below drivers side of the intake manifold
Check the wire color order for the same sensor on the other valve cover. No guarantees they won’t be 3 entirely separate colors, but it’s what I’d do before buying the wiring diagram.
I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain that as long as you have the ground in the right spot, the other two wires positions don't really matter. Since the sensor works off changing resistance due to the cam position, the voltage drops across it regardless of which pin it enters.
I've had the exact same thing happen on a different sensor on my car, these connectors don't take well to being pulled by the wires, I'll usually use 1 or 2 flathead screwdrivers to push the connectors apart while using my fingers to squeeze or pull the connector latch.
How did you end up fixing yours? I haven't gotten around to mine yet, with the engine being out of the car it just doesn't seem like a high priority...
