Default Crank no start, once.

Odd thing happened today. 08 IS350. I drove about 15 miles pulled in a parking lot to drop my daughter off to do her road test figured I might as well wait for her. Engine off key off for about an hour only turned it on once to roll the window down. When we were ready to leave I hit the start button car cranked, sputtered and didn’t start. I hit the button again and she started right up. Drove home with no issues. Anyone else have an issue like this ? Hope it’s not a sign of something starting to fail.

You might verify all connections from MAF TB. If good, maybe clean the MAF? I try to do it every 25k mi tho that might be excessive.

Make sure both connections to the battery are clean and tight. It sounds like it cranked and died, just like it happens after one disconnects the battery for 10 minutes and reconnects.Maybe even a poorly grounded ground cable to the chassis.

Last summer I pulled the ECM fuse to reset it. And yes same type of no start. I’ll check my connections while I’m under there.
