Brand new virgin ecu yes. A used one can be installed and works pretty normally but should be calibrated so its outputs are reflective of your cars inputs.

I usually find myself driving my 350C on the weekends too. But I do have this, which is more a once-a-month "get it out of my system" thing.

EDIT: Yeah, I have a thing for convertibles, but living in SoCal it seems silly not to own one, lol.
