I’ve changed my front and back struts to KYB. and check headlights came on I’ve had it scanned and can’t clear it ? Lights auto level when starting If it wasn’t for the RED idiot light being covered by a piece of black tape I’d be forced to pay the $150 an hour to have it fixed and could only hope they could fix it in 1 hour Has to be something easy to fix. ??
I've had an occasional issue with this after lowering my IS. Although I didn't lower mine much (<1"), it has shown up every now and then. If you do a little searching, I'm sure you'll find a dozen answers far more insightful than mine. Here's my understanding:
The headlight system we have has an automatic leveling system which bases itself on two sensors on the left front and left rear suspension. Either these are bad, not connected, or maxing out their range of motion and will throw the fault. There is some play in the adjustment/location of these sensors so you may try loosening/adjusting. I've read the rear one is usually the cause.
FRONT:
^ I agree with the above. very likely you did not return the sensors to the proper position causing the error after the strut replacement.
check your work based on above.
