It’s been awhile since I did my rear brakes. Looks like it’s hung up on the emergency brake shoes. You need to line the hole up with the adjusting screw. That’s where the screw driver comes in play. I would recommend finding a flash light to see in the hole.

You need to loosen the star wheel. Keeping in mind that turning it the wrong way will make it worse. They usually have a lock that keeps them from getting loose and that lock needs depressed to spin the star to loosen tension on the shoes.

The other option is to loosen the parking brake cable but it may not help.

I wish you or anybody else responded with that answer sooner cause by the time I left my car unattended (locked) for 20 minutes somebody broke in to my car. They shattered my driver side window and bent the b-piller of the door plus they stole my rear right wheel..

And thanks for the tip.. I was able to replace the rotor (and caliper + pads) myself... but the car is not driveable as the rear wheel is stolen. Does anybody live in Indianapolis area to provide me a lexus spare wheel? You know those yellow emergency spare.. I live nearby downtown of Indianapolis. I'll pay you $100 money order for it but need to provide me a ride to the nearest grocery store to give you a money order. I'm homeless which is why i'm asking for help...

Sucks about the wheel theft.

When my rear rotors are "stuck", I just grab my big rubber mallet and hit the rotor until it starts to move.
