Has this ever happend to anyone? Cant find the part no where online. Any suggestions would appreciate it.

1st off, what do you think created that crater? It is not from could of rats nipping away at it?

Yeah, looks like you might have a furry friend. Look around your engine bay for anything that looks damaged, and look around for any nests/animal droppings. If so, lay a few traps or something.

I looked around but didnt see no sign at all. Maybe even biting on the electrical wires but nothing. You guys have a link where I can order another one? I wanna take it off but not sure if it affects anything besides a fire

Picture via mobile device (here) may not do it justice. Any chance coolant sprayed up there or battery acid attacked it?
If coolant, you might try cleaning it.

If acid from LAB, verify your charging system is not boiling your battery dry. It shouldn't be >14.2vdc too often. If consistently >14.2v your regulator may be suspect as well as bad grounds, loose connections.

Its primary function is sound deadening but also reduce surface temp for the paint.
