I am new here, but have been lurking and searching, but can’t quite figure out which O2 sensor I need to replace. Or do I need to replace both. I believe only 1 is bad, causing the other to give a bad reading, but in all my reading im not sure.
Car is a 2007 IS 250 AWD with 98825 miles. VSC and check engine came on. Scan showed
P0138 O2 sensor circuit high voltage bank 1 sensor 2
P2195 O2 sensor signal biased/stuck lean bank 1 sensor 1
P0138 is the bank 1 sensor 2 has a high voltage level for too long.
P2195 is the bank 1 sensor 1 has a high voltage level saying the exhaust is too lean.
Bank 1 is on the passenger side of the car.
Sensor 1 is the sensor closest to the exhaust manifold, also called the upstream sensor.
Sensor 2 is after the catalytic converter, also called the downstream sensor.
The sensor 1 (P02195) is probably the problem and "confusing" the sensor 2.
