Question Battery draining on IS220d

Hi, I'm hoping someone here can help me with this.
I have a 2010 IS220d with 31,000 miles (low mileage, I drive 2 miles a day), and it is having some electronic problems.
Around a year ago, I went out one morning and the main beam lights were on (very dim) and the front demister fan was on, even though the car was turned off overnight. The battery was flat and the car wouldn't start.
A local mechanic found the problem was caused by water somewhere, but I'm not sure where. Possibly in the ECU?
I replaced the battery and all was well for a while.
Now, after another wet spell the car is playing up again. Every morning, the battery is very low and it barely turns over.
I suspect something is shorted out and draining the battery.
Has anyone seen a problem like this before?

I'm guessing you've heard this before but 2 miles a day is not enough the charge the battery after draining by hitting the starter and warming the glow plugs especially if you flip on a bunch of accessories. Yes, it can and will do it for a while but it honestly needs a drive of 30 continuous miles or more once a week to restore battery charge and desludge the poor engine. I hope your OCI's are like 1/4 the time/distance written in the owners manual! A diesel seems like a bad choice for your usage. Just saying...

If faced with this; charge the battery for 24 hrs and have it load tested. If it tests good you could opt for a battery tender plug to charge it every weekend to offset the short drives.

For the most part clean water is not a huge problem. It's the stuff in the water like salt that conducts electricity and causes electrolysis. That said you need to find someone able to measure current drain from the battery while the key is off. You might also pay to disable auto door locks, and set the headlights to off the instant you open the door. Your lexus dealer can do these for you.

If you're a DIY person, let us know and we can step you through all of it.

Simple parasitic draw test will show you what's draining your battery and how to fix it. There are plenty of videos on YT.
