So I had been having an issue with the low beams, and thanks to this forum and the great people on it, it seems to be the bulbs, although I have not had a chance to order new replacement ones yet.
The other day the Check Headlight System warning came on in the dash. When I check the owners manual it says something about there being a problem with the leveling system. Yet, when I turn the headlights on and watch the system, it does what it always did, the lights seem to rise as they find level. I called the dealer and they have no idea what it could be of course until they look at it.
Had my front brakes, struts and strut rod bushings replaced this week. After work was completed the ABS, VSC and headlight leveling warning lights came on, but I have yet to get a solution. Mechanic checked connections before I left and they were good.
thanks cheech53....... gotta love when you bring your car in for one thing, and get a new problem completely unrelated to the original issue when you get it back !

Anyone else have this problem come up ?
there is a sensor link arm located on the suspension that tends to break or get misaligned when you fuss with it. I needs to be in the proper orientation, and of course attached.
I've seen links completely broken due to rust!

read above, I suspect the mechanic failed to keep the proper orientation of the leveling sensor link. this is the proper orientation for the rear driver side sensor. there is only one sensor for the rear and one for the front. both are on the driver side.

hello, I have tried to readjust mine but still get the "check headlight system" notification. Should the nut be tightened all the way or should there be some room for the sensor to move ? Also, should the front sensor also be oriented in the middle of that slot ?
