Default 2IS speaker question

Hi Forum,

Has anyone ever replaced the OEM "Pioneer" speakers (2IS Nav non ML) with the ML speakers?

I have a potential lead on some ML 2IS speakers, and was wondering what the end sound quality is.

Obviously keeping my OEM "Pioneer" amplifier, just replacing the speakers to the ML. Clearly the speakers will fit, and it looks as if the connections are the same, just looking for the sound quality outcome.

Any ideas?

TIA!!!

generally you can put nicer speakers but the sound quality will only marginally increase without upgrading the amp.
I suspect there aren't may first hand experiences of this exact scenario as most will just go straight aftermarket speakers or leave them alone.

How much are you going to pay for these speakers? Just even adding 2 nice speakers to the front will make a night and day difference. What are you looking for in them? I currently have a 1500watt rms alpline and Memphis system (2 12s) and just tuning the speakers to lowest base I have no issues with there quality.

If you'd still be running the factory Pioneer amp, I'd check to ensure that at least the ohm ratings on both the Pioneer and ML speakers are the same and the wattage ratings on both are similar.
