...Is that someones mockup? I highly doubt Lexus will ditch their 2GR-FSE/FSK for the 4IS, the Supra is one thing but the IS will most likely stick with the current options (or the new TT 3.5 that's in the LS). Absolutely no reason for them to use anything but their own engines for the IS.

Toyota was amiss in choosing to use BMW's drivetrain for their Supra. It's going to be a horrible mistake on their part finding Toyota service reps trying to figure out BMWs systems as a one-off application. The same would be true if they try to use that drivetrain on Lexus cars, you're going to see their reliability take a tumble. There has be NO BMW drivetrain produced in the past 30 years that has been as reliable as ANY Toyota and frankly, that's not going to change. I moved to an IS specifically because the 350 is pretty much one of the most reliable engines drivetrains on the market.

That said, this is a pretty rendering, but not sure that's how it's going to really look. For me to move to a newer IS, Lexus will have to bring back a touchscreen and tone down their predator grill design and random mishmash of angles and lines. Honestly, the 1IS and 2IS are classic and timeless designs, the 3IS is going to be forgotten (esp. since Toyota didn't do much as for drivetrain changes, carrying over most of their engines and in most cases, the cars were slower than their predecessors).

Looks like the new Camry... Toyota's started getting Lexus design cues and now Lexus is starting to look like Toyotas. I know Toyota owns Lexus but I don't agree with the style convergence.

Pretty sure that's a mock up considering the front looks the same as the 3is refresh model .

very interesting! I do see this design in the new ES which does look better than before but still not my cup of tea.
it does NOT look like a camry in my eyes!
