my window is off track, any ideas?
hey every one,
i just bought a 2008 IS250, it has a problem with the driver side window.
it seems off track, so when you close the window, the wind still come in so you know the noise, you have to hold the window and push it to the back to it go back to the track.
i removed the door panel and looked inside, but did not fine any thing loose or broken, there is a bolt that usually falls into the door, but that one was there.
help please.
see the video in attachment so you can be clear with the problem.

Can't watch the video but having a few toyotas apart there is a less obvious problem at hand, tho it may not apply to our cars but read along.
You have the glass secured in a channel of rubber which is attached to the regulator (a channel of metal).
If you are lucky there is a paint mark aligning the metal channel of the regulator to the rubber and glass and what I have found is the rubber slides in the metal channel until failure occurs. The regulator channel is no longer where it was when assembled as the glass moved lengthwise.
In short look for dirt and grime indicating where the glass and rubber were originally placed in the channel and then slide the glass back into position.
Again this may not apply to our 2IS but Ive fixed 3 Yoda's with this issue.

update on my off track window
so i took the door panel again trying to see any thing wrong, but I did not find any thing.
the only thing is the regulator is kinda loose, i don't know if that was the problem.
i checked the bolts that holds the glass it self and it all was good and tight.
any ideas, see my last thread for a complete problem.
see the video below please
Thanks!
