2011 nav headunit work with an 06

hi i picked up an 06 is250 rwd last week and the nav screen doesn’t work

will a 2011 headunit be plug and play?

not looking to mess with taking apart the screen and replacing with an aftermarket digitizer etc

I have this same question. I have a 2008 IS F and I want to upgrade my headunit to a 2010-2013. Will it be plug & play?

No. It requires a significant amount of rewiring, and iirc, those who've attempted gave up. Best bet is to just grab another 06-08 unit as those are plug and play.
