Maybe the antenna is shot? You may be able plug in a generic antenna in, start the car and see if you get a signal... there's a post somewhere here that shows how to get into the service settings to see if GPS is pulling any signal

So I pulled out my navigation unit and every connector was plugged in properly. I looked up which wire is specifically for the gps. It’s a gray one that’s towards the passenger side of the unit. It was connected and not loose in any way. I unplugged it and plugged it back in Just to see if it’ll fix it. I turned the car on and I got the gps logo on the screen and it’s accurate again. So hopefully now it’s fix and won’t mess up again.

Maybe needed a reset. My guess is the cars age. Antenna may be fried or on its way out. I have read other threads about how the units need updates from time to time.

Dang. I wish I had come across this thread sooner. I noticed this issue 3yrs ago on my navi; took it to a dealership and they quoted over $400 CAD just in diagnostics. Of course, I said no and have been driving around with an incorrect map view since. I'm definitely going to try reseating the connectors this weekend, hoping that does it!

Just wanted to provide an update: the antenna cable had indeed come loose from the back of the unit. Plugged that back in and now, after almost 4yrs of owning the car, I have GPS working! Thank you guys!

If anyone else is in the same boat as me, I followed this instructional video -

The hardest part was getting the top air vent out; all in took less than 30mins.
