Can anyone advise why 8 quick beeps sound 5 secs after engine has started. Can't see any warning lights. Ta

 

Start off by changing the battery on the FOB. It may be starting to get weak.

 

Yep so battery is new (less than a month old).. I replaced dipped beam bulb (offside) a few days ago. My manual doesn't identify 8 quick beeps (high pitched)?

 

Off the top of my head. I'm going to guess your not wearing your seatbelt? It will chime until it's hooked up, or there's a problem with the seat belt sensors.

 

No.. seatbelt fastened.. not like a chime. More like shrill quick successive beeps. Car is tip top so will put up with it for now until I can work out what car is trying to tell me. Cheers though

 

You're not talking about door lock beeps are you?
If the fobs lock and unlock buttons are held down for like 5 sec, it changes the function from one door to all doors being unlocked and the beep count goes up. But certainly not to 8....

 

The beeps turned out to be a faulty parrot system. Gonna take it out
