Which offset should i choose?
I have an 09 is250 and the wheels im looking at are 18x9 with either +20 or +35 offset. I have never bought a set of wheels before and am wondering the differences between them, which i should choose, and if anyone has pics with these specs to share.
With regards to the offset, a lower number means the wheel will stick out past your fender (or more flush to the fender).. sometimes requiring rolling of fenders or tab modifications - especially if your car is lowered. The higher the number the farther inside your wheel well the tire will be.
Lower offset wheels are considered more aggressive and contribute to the "stance" look that will sometimes require modifications to be daily driven. If your looking for something for everyday use the +35 offset wheels will fit nicely. Your car is rwd or awd? keep this in mind.. most people will run a larger width wheel in the rear of a rwd vehicle which therefore means that the tires can't be rotated due to the different size front tires. You can still run a "square" setup with the same wheel width on all 4 corners of rwd vehicles. If your car is lowered you must be careful that the combinations you choose will not damage your car/ fenders when going over large bumps, sewers, etc.
Good luck

ok cool thanks! so what your saying is that +35 would be the safe way to do it. With those specs 18x9 +35 all around, would it be tucked if i lowered it? (my cars RWD) Also do you know the stock specs of the 2009 is250 18 inchs rims?
