2010 Lexus IS 250 Scratches / Paint Scuffs
Hello everyone,
I have a 2010 Lexus IS 250 that I recently got scratched and some paint got scuffed after I had a little incident with my garage... I have pictures here:
but I am trying to see if there are any home remedies / diy tricks that can work to either remove the scuffs and scratches or at least suppress the look enough so that it can barely be seen. I have gone to several mechanics, but the best they have given me was $325. The max I would go would be between $150 - $200. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Try Meguires Cleaner Wax and some elbow grease. You'll be surprised how much comes off. You can get it at Autozone here in Texas or just about any auto parts store I'd imagine.

This is gonna sound scary, but I'd try wetsanding it with 1500 grit sand paper, then 2000 grit. Then hit it with some compound then polish and it should look a lot better. But like Gville said, it wont fix the places where actual paint is missing. The only way to fix the spots where paint is missing.... is to paint it again of course. A good way to test if there is paint missing is to scratch the scratch with your fingernail and if your fingernail gets caught in a crevice, thats where the scratch went through the paint.
Don't be scared of wetsanding, its really easy. Just dont press to hard. There are also lots of videos on youtube of how to wetsand scratches out. Be sure to look them up, thats how I learned and it helped a lot.

Your gonna laugh but for removing transfer material like paint and plastic from your finish, use a Magic Eraser. Its a kitchen cleaning product that works really well at a lot of cleaning projects. Its got some kind of micro fiber pores that grip unwanted material and pull it off doing no harm to surface.
if the paints broken, get a touch up pen for your color and fix that applying clear when done. Allow to dry and then polish and wax.
