Default Glasspack Mufflers

I have a mechanically stock 07 IS250, and at idle even the high pressure fuel system is louder than the exhaust. I want to fix this by swapping out the stock mufflers with ~13" glass packs (Cherry Bombs or Red Hots). I still want it to be a comfortable, luxurious daily driver - just with a little more rumble and ideally no drone. Avoiding a full exhaust, because I don't want to go overboard right away.

CL members seem to go all the way with their exhaust systems , and I couldn't find a simple swap like this mentioned. Anyone have an idea of how this might work out? How restrictive are the stock mufflers, performance-wise?

What about trying out a muffler delete straight pipe? I've personally have never heard a good sounding Cherry Bomb.

You're better off with something like a Tanabe or Lexus's F-Sport exhaust if you don't want it annoyingly loud. At most, doing an axle-back exhaust might only net you anywhere from 5-7 HP, if any at all.

Possibly, I'll try that when I pull off the stock muffler and go from there I guess.

Was hoping for a deeper rumble than the Tanabe (based on YouTube videos), but F-Sport is definitely an option.
