My '06 has tilting mirrors.

Position the switch for the left or right and the mirrors will tilt.
either mine doesn't have it or it's been broken since I got it. *shrugs

According to the sales brochure the mirror tilt down feature is included with the Luxury Package. My 2012 IS250 has the Premium Package which doesn't include this feature. My favorite feature is the automatic illumination of the interior and puddle lamps as you approach the car.

+1 was gonna say this. Throttle response is great for an auto too. Also very neutral handling for a stock car thanks to the a-arms up front.

Love the looks of the car, really aged well. That, and how smooth the transmission is when you're just cruising

+1 I always get compliments when having passengers, and spirited driving. They say the transmission shifts so smooth.

The aggressive 4.09 rear gear ratio! I love 0-60 runs from a red light!

IIRC the tilt-down mirrors are only on vehicles with memory seats.

Viru hit the nail on the head.

This is from the 2006 IS Owners Manual, page 40
https://drivers.lexus.com/t3Portal/d...08U-edited.pdf

Linked mirror function when reversing (vehicles with driving position memory)
The outside rear view mirrors will automatically angle downwards when the vehicle is reversing in order to give a better view of the ground. However, this function will not operate when the mirror select switch is in the neutral position (between L and R).

Yup, my 06 IS350 has the same feature. I really dislike when they tilted and could not figure out how to disable this feature.
After a short Youtube video I got it disabled!

Anyone know if this is a feature we can turn on with a software switch on cars without power seats? I'd really like to have this activated on my base IS 250 6M.

Anyone notice there are three ways the RVM defrosters come on?
Defrost front.
Defrost rear.
Butt Heaters! Yep, even the butt heaters turn on the rear view mirror defroster!
