Default Tire size

I have a 07 is250 that I purchased which is now my project car.The car was already lowered when I bought it,but the tires that are on the car are 215/45/17.Wondering if anyone lowered their car on the factory 225/45/17 with no rubbing problems.I am trying to find out b4 I buy a new set of tires.

i was lowered on 225/40/18 on stock rims and didnt rub. it depends on how low you go and wheel specs though.

215/45/17 is actually 2% off your factory specs, a little shorter than normal.
going with 225/45/17 is the correct size, much closer to the stock specs!

now you failed to mention if you are on stock or aftermarket wheels.
stock wheels with 224/25/17 will work fine.
aftermarket wheels will depend on offset and how low you are but most likely you should be fine as well.

Not really sure how low the car is... thinking it is Abt a 2inch drop.It is on stock wheels too,so I guess I will just buy them and see what happens.

With stock wheels you should be fine with a 2" drop

There are a lot of users that run lowered setups with stock 18's - and then add spacers to make the wheels look flush
