My 2006 is350 recently had the check engine light come on, I ran the codes and came out with 2, p0025 and p0019. They both pertain to crank/camshaft positions in bank 2. Does anyone know what it could possibly be? I've heard some things about a VVT sensor, also crank and camshaft sensors but I don't know how to narrow it down. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
There are threads on how to check the OCV for the VVT. You can try to make sure it's not sticking. As for the sensors you would have to OHM them out with a DMM.
Thank you for the reply. Where can I find the threads that pertain to checking the OCV for the VVT? where on the sensor would I use my DMM to check the OHMs?
You can check this thread. It's not for the 2IS though you can still use it as a reference. The OCV's on the 2IS are on the front of the engine. Right in front of the valve cover area.
