why is tail lights stay on, after car is off? killing batter?

Check your brake light switch. It might've broken.

Hm, it's programmed by the dealer, you can either get them to change the settings for you or what I do is just hit the lock button twice, once to lock and the next one to shut off the lights

If you set it in Auto, the lights turn off after a few seconds. If you manually set the Park lights, I do not know if they will auto turn off, after some time. Only way to find out is do an experiment...
