Default Modding a high mileage 2is

I have an 06 is350 with just over 120k miles. I love the car, has the luxury plus navigation package. Drives great, no issues. I just find it boring and am contemplating whether I should dump a couple grand into it (coilovers, wheels, lip, RRtune, etc.) or just sell it off and get another car. I know the motors are super reliable, no issues at all or mine, but there's so many electronics and other components that can start to go bad. Have any of you guys started modding your is's at this high of mileage or did you start much earlier?

Mod it! 120k is nothing especially if the car is properly maintained.

I started after 120k miles because by that time I had finally graduated from grad school and had a decent paying job.

Debating this too. Only reason I don’t want to is for quick resale. Every time I’ve modded a car for the better it takes forever to sell. I’m not worried about my higher mileage car breaking down.

a lot of mods you will do might also fix potential problem areas with high mileage cars. or at very least, you'll be alerted to certain issues that you spot while installing a new mod, that you otherwise might have not thought about. somehow, my abs sensor melted to my rear knuckles on my awd. when I recently installed my spacers, I was able to catch that issue. had I not gotten the spacers, I wouldn't have thought twice about my abs/speed sensors.

Not sure if you'll find many that will say sell it and get something else, especially if there's nothing wrong with it.
