Techstream connected, many systems not supported or not available
I was going to program some new TPMS sensors for my car but was getting this error message:
Health Check:
I have tried 3 different versions of Techstream (ver. 4, 10, and 12) and they all do the same. DLC3 cable check utility is all good except for K and L.
Tried using Techstream on a 2008 IS350 and it went into the Tire Pressure Monitor system without any problems and if I recall the majority of the systems were working.
~~~~SOLVED~~~~
Sorry late update. Few weeks ago I felt like giving up and called a dealership for an estimate to program the TPMS. $55
I decided to check the OBD port and make sure the pins were okay and there was battery power. Oddly enough there was no 12V
I checked the fuse for the OBD (underneath the glovebox) and there it was a blown fuse...
Reason: SOLVED
Perform a health check. If that goes through, post the codes that are present. I suspect CAN bus codes if there are computers offline... but it's too soon to tell. Let's start with the basics. Let's talk to the computers that are present... if any.
I've been very busy with work. Something doesn't look right about that Health Check. I'm going to perform one on my IS as soon as I get a chance and compare. I'm wondering about the lack of status for the various monitors. They should read "Complete" or "Incomplete".
I ran into the same issue with my sisters 2008 IS250 with multiple ECUs including TPMS not connecting. I checked the OBD fuse and it looked good. Did replacing that fuse actually let you connect to the TPMS ECU?
