Halogen Fog Bulbs
im searching for replacement halogen fogs as mine just went out and i came to a couple questions if you guys could help me out. as far as I know I am looking for 9006 bulbs
do halogens have a color temp range? i thought they were just the standard yellow but on one bulb the description gave a range of color temps it is available in. is it just an overlay or coat of something on the bulbs?
can anyone recommend or link a good replacement? ive seen cheap ones, like 5 or 6 bucks. is it just going to go out quicker than a more expensive choice?
thanks guys

Halogens can be anywhere from 3500-4300k. The blue tinted bulbs appear "whiter" but that tint reduces light output. Those bulbs also typically die faster. It doesn't really matter though, just grab what's on sale. I threw a pair of Sylvania Xtravisions (Walmart link) in and called it a day a year ago.

I currently have installed some of the mentioned blue coated bulbs that are (key word) advertised to give you the "HID" look..
I can tell you that they have terrible light output and only at dawn and dusk (reduced sunlight) did they look anything close to pure white or white with a tinge of blue as advertised.
However, I currently have the fuses pulled for them as I have 2012 LED headlights installed, and the look of the blue bulb inside the housing is very cool.
