250/350 same chassis what you're saying makes no sense.

Listen, i'm not arguing or anything i just expressed what i fell between the 250/350 alright ? 2nd Gen IS chassis is XE20 right ? i'm talking about 2011+ IS interior, the car that we compared was a 2010 IS250AWD and a 2012 IS 350 AWD, i don't care if you guys believe me or not this is my opinion to the IS350 and i don't give an F about what you guys say, don't try to be a smartass internet forum Warrior" same chassis doesn't mean it's the same interior, i'm just saying my 2012 IS350 has more leg room and armrest compared to the 2010 IS250 , what are you guys trying to show here ? Genius ?

Trunk space is the same between all IS250/350 models in North America. The only difference back there was that the lining material changed in 2011. Seats and/or armrests are identical between IS250/350 provided they are the same year and package/option set. AWD has a hump in the floor that the RWD doesn't have. Pedals are all the same (with the exception of the gas pedal which was shortened after the recalls).

There may have been differences between 2 cars you looked at, but it wasn't because one was an IS250 and one was an IS350.

Generally speaking the only difference in the interior of an IS350 is the one different button on the climate control because the IS350 has the automatic recirculate sensor. Any other differences will be because of year or option package, all of which were available on both models. (With the exception of cloth manual adjustment seats in Canada on the IS250 base).

maybe they made the interior a bit longer ? We tested 2 cars with my son in front passenger wife in back behind him , they told me better legroom . I'm always the driver

I think I read years ago that Lexus responded to the criticism of the small rear legroom by altering the thickness of the driver and passenger seats which would to permit a smidge more legroom in the back.

I can't recall if this was factual or not but if my recollection is correct, it would have been done on the refreshed 2011+ model years and would fall in line with your 2010 vs 2012 MY observation.

The seats did change to allow more legroom in the back, they may have changed how far back the seats could move as well. The size of the car's interior itself never changed.

Got a loaner ES350 for the day. The 3.5 is definitely way more powerful but I can't even find a place to wind it out. Stepping on it for a little and it's already a little illegal. I think I'll be fine toying around with low hp. Same feelings as when I drove a G37x prior to buying the IS250. Sure it takes off like a rocket in comparison but there's nowhere around where I am that I can even use that much power.

I never understand when people say this. Coming from M3, tuned 335i, IS350, M235i....I can only beg for more power and I use it everyday. Its about acceleration and torque and its addictive.

When I drove my wife's 2007 Civic it was plain dangerous to drive with so little power/weight ratio, I think IS250 is not far ahead

I'm not trying to say that I'm against 300 hp+ cars or even powerful cars in general. In all honesty I'm part of the crowd eyeing an ISF in the future. Power is definitely fun for sure, having rode shotgun in a tuned 335 as well. At my current skill level I think practicing in a 250 at its limit would be more fun.

^^^^As a person who has had an ES350 and an ISF in the family, I can tell you that they are NOTHING alike - NOTHING!!!!!! My wife had the ES and she loved it. I HATED it Yes, it had a bit of pep, but it's handling IMHO was horrible. I dislike FWD, it plowed was very mushy handling with poor brakes. My truck handles better than the the ES did. As I said though, my wife, however, loved it.
