Thumbs down Cracked Mirror

I accidentally broke the driver side mirror housing, which I then replaced. While pushing the mirror back in, it cracked.

I have the F Sport package and the local dealer quoted me CAD507 (inc. tax) for the mirror assembly. This is because the mirror is heated (not sure about auto-dimming or memory). I've already spent CAD120 on the housing.

What are my alternatives? Can the glass replaced on its own?

The glass can be replaced on it's own, there is a few floating around eBay for around $100 (give or take anyways). Of course you'll need to find one that will ship to Canada though, otherwise, you'll have to ask one of the sellers if they'll ship it to you for whatever extra price it'll cost.

To clarify, this is the glass alone and not the black trim around the glass that fits into the housing?

Search for a Burco replacement, they have heated options that are a direct replacement as long as you mirror glass isn't auto dimming. Usually are around $30 USD for heated options

It's the whole piece with the black surround, you can't buy the glass without the black surround (this also provides the heating element ). If you didn't have the heated option, you could of just bought one of the cheap sticker glass things that were already cut for the IS and stuck it over your cracked glass.

Assuming the other option is to get the cheaper, non-heated version?
