Freshening up my '06 IS350
Not a build thread, just needed to freshen up a few things on the car.
Vehicle - 2006 IS350, Premium pkg, black on black, ML w/ Nav and factory sport pkg, 68K miles when purchased.
The car was in really good shape, was driven by a woman, who basically just took the car to Lexus for service and drove it here and there, not much extensive cleaning went on, just basic washes.
Here's when it arrived home, I do all my own maintenance / repairs, first things first, get the oil out and put in some good stuff..
Next up was tint and wheels. Went with the Lexus F-sport full face 19" wheels.
Unfortunately when the tint was being installed, the installer messed up both of my front door panels. He manned up and claimed it on his insurance and got me new Lexus door panels, I installed them.
The factory sport pkg is pretty good, but I wanted a bit better handling, I opted for the F-sport sways, front and rear.
When I was installing the front sway, I noticed a small oil leak coming from this oil supply pipe, went ahead and purchased new washers and installed them.
Next up, the front bumper cover needed addressing, lots of little imperfections as well as the license plate holes.
Freshly repainted, license plate holes filled.
New ISF style grill and Lexus emblem
New Lower mesh grill
New Lower bumper spiler (wings)
Yellow foglight vinyl
After installing the bumper, the rest of the car looked a bit dull, went ahead and did a full cut/polish/wax.. Used porter cable DA with Mequiars 205 & 105 compounds.
In buffing process.
Final outcome, cell phone pics do it no justice, the car is like glass..
Next up will be exhaust and caliper paint. Thanks for looking !

I really appreciate the kind words..! Yeah it's definitely a process, took about a month and half to get all the parts, and work done. Luckily it's not my daily driver and it can just sit in the garage when not being worked on.

Yes I have considered installing the F-sport springs, right now I have no rubbing issues at all,, I need to do some research on how much lower the F springs will bring the car.

The F-Sport has less of a drop than the H&R springs but they are stiffer than stock springs so rubbing should be a non issue for you, just a firmer feel in the turns and bumps.
Some people don't care for the F-Sport springs though because the drop is not enough for them, it is a very mild drop and mildly noticeable visually, but you will feel it more in the handling .
