Default Pic Request: 18" SSR SP3 on a 2is

Been searching all over the web for an is250 or 350 with 18" (NOT 19") sized wheels -- SSR SP3 (colour doesn't matter).

Just trying to gauge how these wheels will look, and if going up to a 19" is necessary.

Thanks in advance

Can't really help you out with your pic request but if you seriously questioning whether you should get 18's or 19's it's more of a personal decision. For me personally, I think 19's are the way to go on the 2IS. It's the perfect size for our car and works great if you plan on lowering your car as much as I have. As for your pic request it's kind of a stretch but hopefully some one can help you out.

I just went through some pictures of the wheels on the ISx50 and they tend to be of 19" versions of wheels. Honestly though, if you've already seen how they look in 19" then you basically already know how it looks in 18". Only difference being that in order to get better fitment on 18"s you gotta go lower IMO. Like I said, all personal decisions but I prefer 19" over 18".

I would stick to 18s if u are in alberta.. even 19s in Vancouver is some what pushing it for my 350.. I had a set of Advan RZ cracked on me b4 and it was 19s... but on the other hand had no problems with WedsSport SA55M or my current Work CV201..

yeah I am quite low at the moment haha! I've been looking as well but have also only found 19's. I am currently on work cr2p's in 18" (which are for sale atm)

haha believe me I know. I'm currently slammed on 18's in AB, and every time I leave the house to go anywhere its a new adventure in the streets... Ive gotten to the point of mapping out the city and which lanes to use/avoid on my daily commutes. Low n slow!

Anyway if anyone has any pics of SP3's or similar step lip 3piece wheels please post a picture!

The reason I ask is because wheels like vsxx or meister m13p which are mesh wheels look really small for 18's and I'd like to know if these wheels, though not "mesh", will have the same effect.

Just checked out and followed your instagram. Yeah your about the same in terms of tuck both front and rear as I am. But the one thing I like about 19's vs 18's is that my actual car height is still a bit higher even with the same amount of tuck, which to me makes for an easier daily driver to live with. Once again, all comes down to you in the end.

Also I love the Work Cr2p's! They're what I originally was going for but I decided to spend just a little less on wheels and do some more exterior modifications. Check out my instagram if you want : Wc_is3_

Followed!

The CR2P's are nice, but I found a better setup suited towards my goal for the look of the car, so mine are for sale, even though they're literally brand new.

Yeah I agree with you on the "more-tuck, more clearance" argument with 19" wheels. But that will also likely mean that I will need to fit a smaller tire -> less protection for the wheel (impact wise).

I'll keep searching for a picture haha

I'm actually running 225/35 and 235/35 on my setup but I'm fairly certain I can fit a wider tire out back then that. Only reason I'm on that size is for stretch lol. And yeah I guess 19"s with smaller tires are a bit more risky to drive around with but they do look good haha
