Default Stock Lugs on Aftermarket wheels/Advice on preventing wheel theft

Whats up CL,

Just wondering , do the stock lug nuts on our cars (18's stock) fit aftermarket 19's? Im about to get my wheels in a week or so and im trying to figure out if the standard lugs with the wheel lock would work on them, or if I have to buy new ones. Also I dont feel safe not having at least wheel lock on my new wheels. I know a determined thief could steal them anyway but at least its one more step they have to go through. I dont live in a bad neighborhood per se, but people have jacked an old corrola from us before and a car stereo.

Also my car is too low that I cant park in my drive way lol. So im stuck leaving it in the front of the house regardless. Last thing I wanna wake up to in the morning is my car on bricks Help me out ClubLexus, what should I do??

99% sure that stock lug nut won't fit on after market wheel. The aftermarket wheel use Acorn lug nut while stock lug nut is Mag seat
You would need new lug set.

Like i stated earlier. Most aftermarket wheel uses Acorn type.
What kind of wheel did you buy?

Your wheel should have a specification of what lugs you need but it will most likely be acorn style.

I have found success with two seperate security lugs.

Avoid McGard 100%. Those keys strip oh so easily.

Project Kics, really pricey local for lugs imo. I paid $130 canadian for them and I pair them with mutekis... which are pretty much generic spline tuning lugs. They are open ended.

If you dont really care, I would just go to my local tire shop and buy $30 aftermarket tuning lugs. Same crap different toilet. I ran that on most of my cars until the key scratched the inner circle around my lugs on my rim (acorn style lugs with a 12 point key), which forced me to go with Project Kics.

Volk Rays is what I use. Fools tried taking mine and NOPE it didn't happen. If they don't take the car then it's gonna be a while til you get them off.

Not to high jack thread but I also have questions about lugs.

I have g35 rims. They need acorn style lugs. Will any tuner type lug work with acorn 12x1.5 or do I need specific lugs since these are oem inifiniti wheels?
