Is SeaFoaming my 2006 IS350 a good option to deal with carbon build up? it has 138,000 miles I'm the second owner should i do this and is itsafe for my motor. thank you
I sea foamed my car a few weeks ago with 90k on my is350 and haven't encounter any problems. Im not sure how well it worked but I had the usual cloud of smoke.
I'm sorry to tell, but the IS350 doesn't suffer from carbon buildup issue... It is strictly related to 2.5L engines.
You could always do it. It doesn't harm the engine and I only heard great stuff about SeaFoam. There's a Before and After video on YT (they put a camera into sparkplug hole and explain what it does), you might want to check that out.
Unnecessary. Give it some repeated WOT and decelerations and that will clean things up. Seafoam can foul up your spark plugs, o2 sensors and catalytic converter.

Agreed! These vehicle's sensors are so sensitive and adding a cleaner like Seafoam might do more to fowl these up instead of clean them.
had my whole intake and all seafoamed, and replaced the plugs after. Went from 25mpg highway (ethanol) to 28. Got 31 with non-ethanol gas. 2008 is350 127k

If this is all it would take our 350's from ever having carbon build up issues (if thats even possible since thats a IS250 problen) then my car will never have to deal with that lol.
I give my car some nice pulls every day and she still runs like a champ!
