Small hole on Fujita Intake
Hey guys i just bought a Fujita intake off a local and being an idiot didn't fully inspect the unit and realized once i got home that theres a small hole on top of the flat plastic part of the intake where the brand's logo is. I will attach pictures below of the damage. Looks like it could of been from something rubbing/hitting the intake from inside the engine bay.
It seems like a very minor opening would i perhaps be able to get away with plugging it with some sort or tapping. Can i switch out the cone? or am i stuck with a $100 paper weight? Any input/ideas will be greatly appreciated

I would just buy another filter. Ebay have some right now for a reasonable price. I have the same intake and bought one off ebay and everything is perfect. It's nice to have two because you'll always have one on hand to replace the dirty filter with.

If you have the time, then 2 part epoxy, and build it up a little and smooth it down. I wouldn't buy a filter off of ebay unless it is a name you know from a vendor you have some confidence in. Not all air filters are made the same. Some won't block much dust and others might be too restrictive. I don't really know where Fujita fits in that mix. I'll trust you checked that out before you bought it.

thanks for the reply guys, i just ended up using some silicone and filled it in. Makes me really wonder how that hole got there in the first place. It came off an is350 with only 30,000km so it must of been relatively new, even the filter seemed free from dust&debris

the filters are like super cheap. I used to buy fujita filters and they were cheap like 25 dollars. They're local to me and i know one of the workers. It was probably one of the cheapest and semi good filters since you could wash them and not have to oil them up again. Just buy a new one dont want that silicone sucked up into your engine.
