How much did you purchase it for?
Based on the pictures, it does seem to look genuine. Need other angle pictures of the bulb to be sure.

You can check the authenticity of the Philips D4S 6000k bulbs that we carry because they will track on this page:

Did your friend give you the box as well? If so, there should be an authenticity code on it.

Try it on it won't damage anything I also bought cheap lightbulb before from amazon.com, and they work ok.
