is there one with the black housing and chrome ring around the low beam similar to oem? I saw it in the eBay pics from dp moto. but whitebeast has the one with the black ring around it. just wondering.

 

It for Halogen headlight, but somebody say can fit Xenon HID, but have to remove AFS fuse.

I have a 2007 IS 350 originally with AFS (not quite sure if it was halogen or HID, was pretty car illiterate back then). Few years ago, ballast gave out and I took it to a shop which removed the ballast and installed a retrofit HID kit (with their own ballast). I've had many bulb and a few ballast failures through out the year that required me to return to the shop to have them replaced (free of charge since its lifetime warranty) however my headlights are pretty warn down and discolored due to condensation problems.

I'm planning on buying the black one for my IS 350 and there are two sellers on ebay (DT_MOTO and VIPmotors)

The one from DT MOTO looks different from the black one that VIPmotors sell. The one in the picture from VIPmotors does not have the bottom portion below the LED. Would this matter?

They look identical from the back view. I mean once you install it, they both will look the same since the bottom portion on the front from DT Motor is not visible with the bumper on but I just want to make sure before I purchase that either of these will work. I'd prefer VIPmotors since its cheaper atm.

I'm planning to remove the bumper and install the headlights myself this time to avoid going to the shop to save $$$. If i buy the headlights, would I be able to just swap out the old ones and plug and play?

You can call Lexus Dealer with Vin# they can tell you Halogen or Xenon HID. You can used VIPMOTOZ headlight but have to take out AFS fuse under steering wheel.

 

Thanks for the tips. I called Lexus dealer and they told me it came with factory HID. I guess i'll go with the ones from VIPMOTOZ since it's cheaper and they have good return policy. So for these headlights to work what else would I need to purchase?
