Default Metal polisher help.

Can I use a metal polisher on Fsport shocks? Just wanted to clean them up a bit. If so, which polisher is best?

Soap and water. Then whatever metal Polish you want. Don't wastw too much time on them. They'll just get dirty again unless you're showing your suspension at car shows.

Thanks Mariano! I bought F sport shocks from a CL member and I just wanted to clean them up before installing them. They're coming in next week. From the pictures they look a little dirty but I'm hoping its not corrosion from snow as the seller said they're still in excellent condition coming from Canada.

Use some quad 0000 steel wool on them and some Mothers chrome polish with a polisher/attachment or just good 'ol fashion elbow grease.

Thanks Gville. Gonna pick some up later today to give it a try. I think the snow where the previous owner lived made the metal shafts either oxidize or corrode. The shock itself should be good as I don't see any damages where it compresses.

The corrosion is pretty thick; might need to try something a bit more rough to start with. Quad zero would be good to end the clean-up before polishing compound is added.
