Coming here for help asking what i need for my 40K service. I have a 2009 is250 awd car and i believe i take car of the car.

The dealer quoted me $242 for the service to include oil and filter change, tire rotation, air filter replacement and a few inspections to include the break inspections of the pads and rotors and a free cash war.

I aske them if i wante used a oil change and to check my breaks and rotors, and they mentioned $225

Any help is appreciated. Is there anything else i should get at 40K?

 

You should really look in your manual to know what you need when. But you should have gotten your engine air filter and cabin air filter changed at 30K miles, if not you should do it yourself. very easy. All you really need is oil change and tires rotated at 40K. If your brake fluid hasnt been changed that should be done too, but again thats usually every 30K miles.

 

break fluid was changed at 35K and my tire rotations are done for free at costco.

 

i really want my dealer to check the carbon build up and sometimes why my car runs a little rough on cold mornings.
