Got my dash and all 4 doors done a couple months back. Took about 2-3 months from time I went to have it checked to the time they called to setup an appointment. It is so much better now.

Hey everyone! New here. Just bought a used '08 IS250 last week and the dashboard came sticky and the door panels had nudges or whatever you want to call em. I was reading around on the internet and read about this recall.

I was wondering, what do I need to do for this? I get it'll probably take some time (was skimming the posts in this thread).

Should I just call up my nearest Lexus dealer and tell them about the recall?

Just got mine replaces in Jacksonville FL. Lexus of Orange Park. Two year wait for dash and doors. Dash last month when I did airbag recall.

panels were brand new fully loaded with new handle, tweeter speaker, and flip out panel. I originally thought they would reused those since they bolt on the main panel but looks like it may have been labor vs. material decision for Lexus to replace whole assembly.

I think I got taken by my local dealership. Had posted before that I was cleared for a door panel replacement. Received a call that the parts were in and that I should bring my car in. I brought my car in and they just told me that previous owner did work inside the door and that they would not replace it. It is cracked. I looked myself the other day and there is nothing done to the door what-so-ever. They said there was some kind of expanding foam or something inside the door. I'm going to call them up and dispute this.

hi there, ive been having my lexus for almost a year now and the dash is sticky and gluey. so i went reading and i see lexus have a recall for dash replacement so i was wondering when does that offer end.

You can check your vin number to see if your car is part of the recall, or you can just call the dealer.

You can also try some good old soap and water to see if it comes clean.

I work for a Lexus store and just got my mom's dash replaced in her LS460 per that recall. However, as far as I know that recall ended May 31 . Definitely would call your local dealer and ask.

Ran into my niece today and saw she got a new used car (2008 is). Looked inside and saw new dash and door panels. She said she got it and went to the dealer about a week after she bought the car and they changed it that same day. I was like what? I'm on a list for more like 4 years. She had no idea there was a list or anything. Man I'm going to get her vin# and go down to the dealer and make some demands? Should I?

I've been on the list since the beginning and still nothing yet. Tried another dealer yesterday and he shut me down right away saying it's over. So back to waiting with my original dealer. They only authorized for so many to be done. However, if a dealer were to sell a used IS with a messy dash, I'm sure there are still parts (dash) to make that happen for the dealer.

I called my dealership since ive been waiting for over 2 years. They said they would have someone call me back. Got the call and said they have them and will also do the air bag recall at the sametime. Going in 2 weeks to get it done.

For those that had it done, do you notice any gaps? I'm bringing it in this Friday and in another thread they're talking about gaps and the dealer refusing to correct it.
