I own a 2006 is 220d model. Back in summer 2013 the car started giving me problems like going off and I have to start the engine and also on the dashboard it use to light up the motor light on the display. The car used to function normally at first but all of a sudden the car used to mark ONLY 20 mph could hardly be to drive. When taking for checking on the computer it marked the EGR. I removed the egr and cleaned the valve a d back to normal, until few days ago when driving the car with a speed of 80kph you feel the car loosing its power but still drives normally.

Yesterday whilst driving it a problem occurred could not get up to more then 20kmph and the gas pedal is all pressed down. No signs yet marked on the display. And starts normally but the smell of diesel exhaust from the back is very noticeable.

Please do anyone know what can cause his problem and if this type of engine suffers from something that came out from the factory. Cos she's driving me crazy

Unfortunately most people on here are from countries that did not have the IS2#0d, mostly just the gas IS250/350 models. I wish I could help more, hopefully someone from Europe chimes in.

thanks but managed to adjust it. there was a blockage in the dpf system. removed dpf and cleaned it well.
