The best 45-55 mph that's when you get the highest. If you go any higher then the rpm increase And that dropped your mpg

OP, others have mentioned it but haven't really expanded - this is the "Tank AVG", NOT the overall average. So it's just the mileage he's been getting since the last time he put gas in his car. Since it's such a small sample size (probably about 300mi), it's easy to get much better or worse mileage than your overall average depending on if you do more highway or more city driving. If you cycled the display over to "overall average", you'd probably see a value close to what you expect (24mpg or whatever)

If you all highway driving for a full tank, it's very easy to average over 30mpg. I've gotten 33+mpg over an entire tank on long road trips, and I could do better if I drove slower or wanted to maximize mileage.

Yep +1 Tank MPG average is reset automatically every time when the car is re-fueled. In this context, after his last fuel pump, he has traveled pretty much on highway. I have gotten 33 MPG on my IS350 and 36 MPG on my IS250 traveling on highway for tank mpg average.

We should look at the AVG MPG. However, it CAN be reset too by pressing the button for 5 seconds so the number CAN be manipulated.
