I had a few incidents so far with LV Lexus;

During an oil change at their old location on Lehigh street the mechanic changed the oil and left his oily plastic work gloves on my passenger front seat which stained the seat. This was on my 2002 IS300.

New location they gave me a filthy IS as a loaner full of pine cones, exterior covered with dried salt and the mats full of french fries form whoever had the car last. They also broke my intake and engine cover support.

I swear one more issue and I will report them to Lexus corporate!

 

Sorry to hear about all your issues.

Don't wait to report these issues to Lexus corporate, do it ASAP!

Hope everything works put for you and they give you a brand new intake.

 

Fujita intake has been discontinued???

Well that is what the service manager just told me......

His new offer a K&N intake or AEM, I said no to both and asked him for an F Sport

We will see he said he will get back to me.

 

Dealer is installing an F Sport intake on their tap!

I think I am going to be happy again

 

Discountinued eh? That will make mine a collectors item now...like an ARC intake? LOL!

 

Google search is not turning many options on it and when it does it is not in stock or discontinued.

Oh well..........

They installed a new F-sport intake and returned my car I was very happy well I thought I was until I drove home and felt no difference not even a sound difference from the new intake.

Got suspicious so I opened the hood took the beauty covers off and sure I have an F sport intake but when I checked the filter them bastards installed a regular toyota element!!!!

Now I am really upset beyond the point of no return.

 

WTF, That's it is total bull***t, you should request for sway bars F-sport BBK's next

being that you mentioned that you felt no difference or even a sound, did they even install the lower box that comes with the F-sport intake? or did they just install the pipe?

 

Talk to corporate that dealership should be burned to the ground.

OEM Filter they installed instead of the high flow F Sport that comes with the package.


And to answer the question about the bottom piece they used my OEM bottom air intake piece.
I am not sure the F sport brings that bottom portion ? I think it only comes with the top portion?

They were closed by the time I called cant wait for tomorrow, I will be as calm as I can but I am sure this will escalate to the dealer's general manager and Lexus coorporate.

 

It's the bottom piece of the air box that makes any difference in sound, and the blue F-sport drop in filter sounds no different than a stock filter...its just blue and cleanable.

 

There is no way the oem Lexus / Toyota filter is the same as the F Sport type as the F sport is high flow and designed for it. The OEM Lexus is more restrictive.

 

So they did not install the full F-sport intake. Bring your car back and tell them that you want the full F-sport intake and not just the silver pipe. Sorry to say, but you got robbed. The full F-sport intake comes with the silver pipe, 2 couplers, reusable non-oil air filter, and a redesigned lower portion of the air box (where the baffles are removed and that has an extra hole that gives you the noise above 3500rpm).

I say report them to Lexus Corp.

You are very correct, they only added the silver pipe and nothing else! No reusable F Sport filter and they went as far as asking me for the OEM lower intake enclosure and used it instead of installing the F sport custom intake that generates the throatier sound and adds the extra air.

Thats it!!! I am done with these scums!!!

 

What scumship was this at so I know to avoid them.
