Default Quick question: Anybody run 255/35/18's in the rear?

So our 2IS comes with 225/40/18 in the front and 255/40/18 in the rear from the factory, effectively giving it kind of a dragster stance. I know my 335i had 225/40/18 up fronts and 255/35/18 in the rear to kinda level out the sidewalls giving it a more even look. Just found out the 3IS is the same now, they switched to a 255/35/18 in the rear.

From a little research it seems our stability and ABS systems are calibrated with 225/40 front and 255/40 rear tire in mind. Anybody switch to a lower sidewall rear like 255/35/18 have any issues with the traction control or ABS ect? I know once I switch to 255/35's my rear will register as spinning much quicker, would that freak the system out thinking there is more rear wheel slippage and will overly compensate by making the traction control intervention threshold much more sensitive?

Forgive me as I am not quite 100 percent sure how our stability system works in our cars.

I'm running a 35series sidewall on both the front and rear tires and don't see any difference between them and the 40series.

I think in your case by dropping your profile size in the front AND rear equally, you are keeping the correct ratio therefore the stability systems shouldn't see a problem. I'm just curious if I keep the front the same and drop the rear total diameter of the tire will I encounter any issues.

Hmm.... nobody runs a 255/35/18 in the rear? I would think a lot more people would want to get rid of that top fuel dragster look.

mine is running Hankook Evo V12 265/35/18 in rear with stock wheels, a little bit better traction

35 or 40 won't be any difference, it just a little bit comfy or not, depends on how much you lower your car
