Kyoso I'm not sure if your still following this thread, the dealer got back to me after 3+ weeks. After asking them to check the fuel pressure sensor numerous times, they finally checked it and determined that the issue was identical to yours. After the shop foreman himself spent quite of bit of hours on the car with no luck, it's funny how I was able to properly diagnose the issue by finding your thread... A bit ridiculous if you ask me. They are now quoting me a $2400 (ecu + fuel pressure sensor) repair bill which I am fighting with them to cover as I have good reason to believe that it's related to the VVT recall. Seeing that my car had the same issues as yours I'm wondering how others there could potentially face like ours. My issue occurred around 2000-3000 miles after the VVT recall.

Ok I have seen this problem once. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CAM GEAR RECALL. This is most likely the fault of the BLA (Fuel pressure sensor recall). Not everyone will have the same problems since a different wire might be pinched. In my case had no communication to ecm do to the sensor grounding out. The fault is within the wire pigtail of the sensor. Technicians didnt disconnect the sensor during and bla recall and twisted the wires when replacing the sensor gasket. Over time those twisted wire break and you get what you see here. Hard to diagnose at times.If you want to argue with Lexus, need to say BLA was performed improperly and want a rep to inspect it. If your having a shop mechanic working on the car, might just want to soldier new wires instead of replacing sensor

 

Hey guys. So last week I was driving to the store and about a mile from my house my is350 2006 went into "limp home mode" All the power died in the car. I just had my car in for 4 different recalls 4 days before that. I only drove about 200 miles.
the recall were the cam drive, wipers, fule line and something else cant recall right but need to check.
so when this happened I thought alternator. When I got home she wouldn't start. Tried jump starting and would turn over. We on my way to the local garage she completely died. Tired to jump but would die again once we disonnected the jumpers.

Now I had it towed to the local shop. He said not the battery and not the alternator but he feels some electrical short.

So sounds like another issue. I will call lexus tomorrow to have them tow it there to fix but I really feel this has to do with the recall work.

Any input how I should deal with lexus. I feel they should cover the whole expenses

 

Just wanted to update on where I am with my vehicle since having the VVT recall done. As I mentioned in a previous post, the car does not get a lot of daily miles on it. It has almost 103,000 miles on it now and the biggest difference I have noticed so far is that the engine generates more power and torque than it did before the work was performed. I very seldom have to drive it in power mode to get the performance out of it that I want and the motor puts more oomph to the back wheels, enough to kick in the traction control from a dead idle. I was hesitant about having the VVT recall done due to the comments I have read here, but after my service advisor's comments about their quality of their repair work and the consequences of engine damage if it was not done and the gears came loose (see previous post) I had it done. I may be able to recommend a service department for this work if my fortunes continue.
