Plastic undertray panel hanging down
My wife has a 2010 IS250 C. I was driving behind her a couple weeks ago and noticed that the plastic undertray panel on the driver's side was hanging down. The left side of it was still attached but the right side, closer to the center of the car, was loose so that side was hanging down.
When I asked her about it she reminded me that she told me she ran over something the week before (didn't see it until it was too late to avoid it). Right now we're at our vacation house for a couple months where I have limited tools (no floor jack) so I haven't been able to get a good look at the damage. I'm just wondering - is it usually just the fasteners that pop out, and the panel itself is ok, or does the panel itself usually get damaged too? The panel looks mostly intact, it wasn't split in two or anything like that.

yea the fasteners could pop off but some of it is bolted on. It could have ripped the panel out of the fastener too. Youll just have to get down there maybe with a light and mirror to look around until you get a jack
I had this happen to me. Half of the panel was broken/ripped off but it was still hanging on from the other screws pretty well. I tried to ignore it but when going on the freeway, it would viciously bounce up against the car like a diving board. The noise got pretty annoying so I had to remove that panel altogether.
Not sure what caused it to detach in the first place though.
