Default Molded Wald trunk

Those of you who have this trunk spoiler molded have you experience any cracking later on? Due to closing the trunk many times, harsh roads, climate(really cold winter to really hot summers)? I'm looking to mold mine but my auto body guy advise me about it might crack within a year or so.

I dont think it would be an issue.....Then again depending on your body shop it might be. Seeing as he advised you otherwise maybe its a hint that this is one job he would rather not take on. If its done right no issue should come. The spoiler is on the top of the trunk. Closing it isnt going to effect it, and unless your driving and something out of nowhere hits it like a rock or something like that its not going to crack. Harsh roads doesnt matter, just look around for other shops. Cause him telling you a year or so wouldnt sit well with me having him tackle that kinda job.

A QUALITY body shop AND mold/paint job will last years! It's not like molding a flexing body component like a fender into the lower skirt; it'll remain static as one completely component.

If the shop you spoke with feels this way about it, go somewhere else.
