I'm going to be buying the Techstream software and cable from ebay in the near future. Looking through the listings you see various software versions from 7.xx to 8.xx. Did some searching, I didn't see any discussion of software version here.

Has anyone seen any real differences between software versions? Anyone found a particular version that seems to be more buggy than others? How about ebay sellers that are more shady than others? My car is an '08 IS350 if that makes any difference.

 

I bought a 8.xx cable however I ended up using 7.xx software I found online, it seemed to work better for me. '06 IS250
