I lowered my car on 10/12 bc racing coils and every time i hit a big bump it goes "scchhhhh" when it rubs. I hate this sound and have tried to fix the rubbing by cutting off parts of the lining. Ive turned the *** to the stiffest setting and i'm only lowered enough to cover the wheel gap.... its like a 1 finger gap. Ive rolled my front fenders but my try rolling them some more to fix the problem. Any suggestions on what I should do? I have 19's tires on LC818s 235 Hankook V12 in the front...
If that sound only happens when you do hit something, there really isn't much you can do since the suspension is pretty much bottoming out for that moment you're in the dip.
I'm running into the same issue. I'm on Megan LP with 19x8.5 235-35-19 tires. I had two brand new falken 453 tires however, my bumper tab ate right through the tires. I just bought 2 brand new tires and I'm hesitant to put my rims back on my car.
By fender tab you mean the bumper tab right? Or the fender lining tab? And raising my car is a LAST RESORT lol
They're basically the same thing. It's the metal tab in the top part of the wheel well. Feel around for it. It's the only part that feels like metal, everything else is plastic
I am sure that tire size is a typo...but if you only hear the noise when hitting a big bump, then it is most likely the metal bumper tab. You can either relocate it like most of us have done, or you just need to be more careful and avoid big bumps...
